friday morning on the 6th of july
the night before we had our share
of upsets and heartaches and feelings taken forgranted
but we summed up the evening
with music and beer
kissed and made up
on the front lawn and upstairs
salty and sweet
and easy as can be
after eggs for breakfast
you made true love to me
